A Hindu family has left house for fear of local influential landslides in Jhenidah’s Kaliganj. Dhananjala has been created in 4 families of a family of minority Hindu community in Kaliganj of Jhenaidah. They are no longer available since the evening of 4th May, 018 in the evening. The name of this family, missing, is named Sukumar Biswas. Who is a member of Rajbangshi community.
The other members missing are Sukumar Biswas’s wife Renu Rani, Patpodhu Ripa Rani and Pota’s son (Dauhit) Sanad Biswas. Swapan Kumar, the only son of missing Sukmaar, died due to cancer in the last 3 months.
But no one can say that they have taken them out of their planned way, or left their own house. Cows are in the house at the goose, there are all smiles. The incident happened at Par-Khalokaya village under Jamal union of Kaliganj upazila of the district.
After this incident, some of the Hindu organizations claimed that the missing families were taken away or threatened, but the neighbors demanded that they left their homes. After a day of disappearance, local UP chairman Mohammad Modassur Hossain, Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad and Bangladesh Students’ Youth Oikya Parishad leaders visited the spot.
The news of the disappearance of a press release on behalf of Kaliganj upazila unit was announced on Wednesday 9th May. Leaders expressed grave concern in the press release that some of the 8 bighas of land of Sukumar Biswas, who have been subjected to mental torture at different times in order to embezzle by purchasing them at just the price of some landowners. As a result, they may have links to local landowners behind their disappearance. They have rescued the missing family and demanded to secure their home safely. Otherwise, Sukumar Biswas and his family members are also threatened to raise movement of masses in the press release.
Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad President Sunil Ghosh said, “We visited the spot and found out that he had left the house due to fear of local influential landslides.”
Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman said, after knowing the facts, I kept the matter under observation.
